Staff Positions at Family Focus

Licensed Therapist

Responsibilities: Licensed Therapists at Family Focus provide structured, evidence-based therapy for individuals, families, or groups. Services address a range of concerns including trauma, substance use, mental health disorders, and family instability. Therapy may be conducted in the client's home or an office-based environment.

Requirements: Master’s or Doctorate degree with a valid license through the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board (LSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMHC-A, LMFT, or LCAC). Must be available for varied work schedules, including evening and weekend hours.

Therapist (License Eligible)

Responsibilities: The License-Eligible Therapist provides goal-oriented, time-limited therapy to individuals, families, and groups in need of mental health support. Areas of focus include trauma, substance use, psychiatric conditions, developmental disabilities, and family dysfunction. Services may be delivered in-home, in the community, or in an office setting.

Requirements: Master’s or Doctorate degree in a field eligible for licensure (LSW, LMHC, LCAC, LMFT). Must be actively pursuing licensure and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Father Engagement Specialist

Responsibilities: The Father Engagement Specialist works with noncustodial and at-risk fathers to build healthier parent-child relationships, improve communication with service systems, and promote child well-being. The role includes facilitating groups, coordinating in-home or correctional facility-based support, and addressing secondary needs like trauma, mental health, and behavioral challenges.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, a related human services field, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in family services. Requires at least 2 years’ experience working with fatherhood programs or facilitating group interventions. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Caseworker

Responsibilities: Caseworkers provide direct, goal-oriented support for families involved with DCS, Juvenile Probation, or referred for intensive family services. Responsibilities include facilitating supervised visitations, offering parent education, coordinating transportation, and supporting other family-focused interventions. Services are typically provided in-home, in the community, or at a Family Focus location.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, a related human services field, or at least four years of experience in a similar setting. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
